ich habe eine Anfrage zu einem Straßenmalerwettbewerb in Valkenburg bei Maastricht erhalten. zuerst war der Termin wie BNunodenwerder terminiert.
Nun stehen auch die letztes Wochenende im August und 2. und 3. Wochenende im September zur Diskussion. Preise und Aufwandsentschädigungen kenne ich noch nicht. Ich soll nachfragen, ob jemand Interesse hat, und mich dann melden.

hy, habe ich auch bekommen, hatte ihnen das mit bodenwerder gemailt, was ich nur komisch finde das utrecht was am gleichen wochenende ist angeblich nicht stattfindet?

zumindest haben sie mir das geschrieben, weiß da jemand etwas?

peter hat geschrieben, hier nochmal der termin für alle. er weiß nächste woche mehr darüber was für ein angebot/konditionen oder wie das ablaufen wird.

das 1e Strassenmaler Festival in Holland am August 23+24 wird nicht in Utrecht sondern in Valkenburg a/d Geul stattfinden.

auch schrieb er das er sich sehr freuen würde wenn so viele wie möglich von uns kommen werden da es ein internationales Strassenmalfestival werden soll.

it's high time I updated you on the ISPF Utrecht 2008 festival. Some of you I
already talked to, most of you not yet. So I hope you'll take the time and read
this message. For those of you who are not so good at reading English, please
ask a friend to help you translate. My English is much beter than my German or
Italian. So I hope you don't mind.

UTRECHT 2009
We had to postpone our ISPF Utrecht festival due to the fact that the City
still isn't able to give us the permit for our location (the Wilhelminapark),
and also decided not to sponsor us with any funding. They just came out with a
new policy for the coming years, and argued that our festival is not innovative
and therefore does not qualify for funding. I thinks that is rather
unbelieveable, but that is the reality of it. So since time has been ticking
away, we decided it was best to make a new start and start planning for our ISPF
Utrecht (or somewhere else) in 2009.

VALKENBURG A/D GEUL - 2008
But the streetpaintingfestival is still going to be held this year! Not in
Utrecht, but in Valkenburg a/d Geul. They say 'great minds think alike', and as
it turned out people in Valkenburg had the same idea as we did. Only they do
have support from their city and funds, but they do not have sufficient
streetpainting expertise and network yet. So we decided to join forces and make
this festival happen. It's called 'Colours fo valkenburg'. I attached more
information for a sneak preview about the town and festival set-up. Valkenburg's
ambition is to become Holland's best and biggest International Street painting
Festival, and showing promise of that within the next 3 years. So it's not a
one-time event, they're in it for the long term.So looking from the bright side,
next year Holland will have 2 great streetpainting festivals!

PARTICIPATION & RENUMERATION
We aim for at least 20-30 experienced and (inter)national streetpainters. For
example 10 invitees from Holland, 10 from Germany, 10 from Italy and 5 from the
US would be super! In addition to a number of local participants. Each and
everyone of you will be offered a wonderful hospitality package, with free room
& board, meals & beverages, a free pastel set, and on top of that a fee of EUR
300 to help you cover your travel expenses etc. In addition there are money
prizes to be won in two categories (free design and copy art). The public will
be the jury. Whatever streetpainting(s) the public likes the most, win(s). Could
it be more democratic?

NEXT STEP
If you want to participate, I and hope and expect that you do, just send me an
email - before August 1st - and I will send you your application form (in
English or German). You can send the completed form on to Rik and cc to me.
That's all. If you know other talented streetpainters and enthousiastic artists
that would like to participate and are missing from this address list, please
send me their names + email addresses and I will also send them the application
form. For now it suffices if you just let me know if you would like to come and
probably will participate if nothing unforeseen will come up in the weeks to
come. It's Holland's first Streetpainting Festival, so if you join us, you'll be
part of a little piece of streetpainting modern history
